The Andaman forests hold over 30 bird species found nowhere else on earth, and ornithological discoveries in the archipelago are still being made. Hundreds of migratory species pass through the islands each season. For serious birders, this is one of the most compelling destinations in all of Asia, and one of the least visited.
Stepping into the Andaman forest before dawn is a different kind of experience. Before you see the endemic species here, you will hear them. An Andaman Woodpecker working through the canopy. An Andaman Serpent Eagle calling from the forest edge. An Andaman Masked Owl, if you are out at the right hour with a guide who knows exactly where to listen.
Our guides locate species by call, read the forest by sound and movement, and know precisely where each endemic shows best through each part of the season. Night birding sessions bring owls and nightjars into range that most visitors never access. Our focus is on multi-day expeditions across different islands, covering the full range of habitats and endemic species the Andaman offers.

Our guides know these endemic species by call and by season. They have spent years in the forests, wetlands, and island habitats of the Andaman specifically. Their knowledge of where to find what, and when, is the difference between a good birding day and an exceptional one.
October to April is the main season, with November to February being peak for bird activity and weather.
Most of the 30+ endemics are findable with the right guide and timing. Some species require travel to specific outer islands, which we incorporate into longer programs.
